Formed in 2007, Short of Able is a product of the Edmonton indie music scene. Its members – Justin Wisser (vocals/guitar), Devin Phillips (guitar), James Rutherford (bass), and Colin Ouellette (percussion) – fell together through a mutual addiction to live music. Though the band is influenced by many artists, Short of Able has developed its own brand of acoustic folk-pop rock that is less definabl...e than many bands.

The Grip Slips are the latest addition to Saskatoon’s thriving music scene. Comprised of a talented group of young musicians, The Grip Slips have already accomplished so much in their first few months together. They earned a spot in the finals of Band Warz, a competition featuring bands from all over Saskatchewan, after only 2 months together. Playing modern rock reminiscent of 90’s rock groups, The Grip Slips stand out with their catchy lyrics, and melodic hooks.
